La Caridad project
In 2023 we delivered equipment for a solar thermal plant at the La Caridad copper mine in Mexico. The solar thermal plant supplies heat to the mine’s electrowinning process. The plant has a collector field area of 910 m² and a thermal storage tank of 120 m³.
The project was organised as follows:
- Jorgensen Thermal Solutions: Supply of collectors from Savosolar, two prefabricated skids and pre‑insulated piping.
- Flemming Jorgensen SA de CV (Mexico): Supply of the thermal storage tank and installation of the entire plant on site, including integration with the customer’s existing control system.
